Ana María Milla

General Manager

General Director and planetarist, Ana Maria is also a passionate storyteller committed to science and local culture. She has been with the planetarium since the beginning, experiencing both the challenges and the good times. She represents us at lectures locally, nationally, and internationally.

She is also a mother and a floral artist and has published three poetry books and one children’s book about the Inka constellations. She loves to knit.

Cielo Gonzales

Sales and Reservations

Cielo (Sky) is true to her name and says she was born to work at our planetarium. Our loving, responsible, and organized manager is a vital member of Planetarium Cusco, overseeing the entire operation. She is the one who responds to your requests and answers your questions.

With a scientific background and a degree in chemistry, she loves science. She speaks Spanish, English, and German, having lived in several countries. She especially loves her daughter Asha, the sea, sports, music, and Reiki.

Johana Abarca

Turistic Guide 

She has a degree in tourism and is a well-known bookseller, librarian, reading mediator, and true bookworm. This loving mother now combines her passion for books with her knowledge of science and mythology to engage with the visitors of Planetarium Cusco and our digital community. She speaks Spanish and Quechua as native languages and improves her English and French every day. Her secret talent is finding the perfect book for every person.Jose

José Martín Justiniani

Head of Telescope Guides

José is also a long-standing member of the planetarium and a man of many trades. He is in charge of planetarium maintenance and always ensures that everything works well.

His role also includes being an excellent telescope guide, quickly finding all types of astronomical objects in the sky and having a remarkable memory for their data.

With a reserved temperament, he is brilliant at solving problems creatively. He is a very responsible and trusted member of the team. A loving father and husband, eternal student, and a creative entrepreneur, he also enjoys driving.

Mónica Isola

Marketing Chief

Our marketing director is the architect of our Planetarium Cusco process in its second stage.

She has 20 years of experience in adventure tourism both in Peru and in Latin America, Asia and Europe. Today her passion and expertise have led her to specialize in socio-environmental entrepreneurship.

Monica, it’s a globetrotter. She has traveled half the globe, is fluent in Spanish, English and French. He obviously loves to travel and has a deep commitment to the planet and regenerative tourism.
She is a professional in permanent updating, she is a specialist in organizing trips that touch the souls of people, that take care of the planet and those who live there.
In addition to trekking, paddle boarding and boxing, he practices Yoga, loves permaculture and is a great animal lover.

Eder Capcha

Transportation

He is the second generation of the Capcha family to bring our visitors to the planetarium with care and safety. He is an administrator and businessman with a beautiful, binational family (Peru-Colombia) who loves reading and music. He shares his love of science and nature conservation with the planetarium team.

Erwin Salazar

Scientific consultant

He is a founder of the Planetarium Cusco concept, now retired but still our scientific consultant. Erwin is a distinguished author, researcher, and astronomy enthusiast. He was also a guide and planetarium presenter until 2019.

His favorite activity is observing through telescopes and recording novae and variable stars. He is the author of the book Inka Astronomy, Ethnoastronomy, and Archaeoastronomy and its English version. He has written numerous articles and given many talks, making him a key reference in the research of Inka astronomy. He also writes our blog articles. Erwin enjoys painting and music and is a proud father, husband, and grandfather.

Shanda Quispe

Turistic Guide 

Our new talent enters the dream team with steady steps. This tourism graduate is considered the “revelation of 2024” as she brings not only academic training but also experience in theater, comedy, clowning, and visual arts. Charismatic, entrepreneurial, and very studious, she quickly integrated into the team as a guide. A viral sensation and influencer, Shandita has quickly won the team’s hearts. She speaks Spanish and English.

Roberto valencia

He has been involved in telescope operations, maintenance, and guidance since the beginning. He is a business administrator, musician, and father. He must be aware of the security systems, the photovoltaic energy system, and the maintenance of access points and equipment. He enjoys stargazing and watching documentaries about the universe.

Luis Monzón

Businessman and family man, Lucho is an ally in the important field of providing our visitors with a cosmic experience.

A graduate administrator from the University of Cusco, he is not only a longtime friend of the house but also an English teacher and a loving father.

And in company meetings, he is the most punctual one.

Nairara Sariri

Planetarium Guide

Nairara Sariri is a senior university student majoring in tourism. She is a passionate student, deeply involved in cultural development and social services.

She is a sweet and committed guide, always willing to help us with content for our social media. Friendly and kind, Sariri is dedicated to ensuring that people feel at home.

Alfredo Rodriguez “Warton”

Artist and Educator

Warton is an actor, television and film director, theater improviser, and screenwriter. Although his university education is in tourism, a field in which he worked for many years, his true commitment lies in education, especially artistic education.

He believes that art is the greatest tool humanity has created because it transforms the external, and thus the internal. He is a cultural promoter, a loving father, and now also a teaching guide at Planetarium Cusco.

Abel

Junior Guide

This young high school student is the founder of the only astronomy club for teenagers and children in Cusco. A true astronomy enthusiast, he reads every book that comes his way, from cosmology to quantum physics, always surprising us with the new discoveries he shares each day. Impetuous and passionate, he is a leader at his school and has achieved impressive milestones to enable his peers to participate in various international activities. He is an honorary guide who comes to the planetarium to practice his English, train with the telescopes, and is the author of a well-curated photography gallery.

Yaquelin Huamán

Accountant

Yaquelin is the very organized and punctual accountant of our company. She coordinates with suppliers, the team, and travel agencies on everything related to the numbers. Every month, she “takes the pulse” of the company and ensures that managing  has all the information needed to keep this dream  running. Yaqui is also a loving and cheerful mother and a great dancer of traditional dances from Cusco.

Marcelo Elorrieta Echarri

Guide and Coordinator of the Planetarium in Yanahuara at Casa Andina; fluent in Spanish and English. In his family, tourism, history, and astronomy have always been a way of life; combined with his passion for reading and self-learning, his knowledge comes not only from books but also from personal experiences. A 3D designer by profession and a family man by conviction, he is a pragmatic and patient person who will try to show you the sky like you’ve never seen it before — not only through your eyes but also with your mind.

Where does the journey begin? First, you need to book your visit.

The Journey STARts at 6:00 pm at a pick up point, as the transportation is included as an easier and eco-friendly option in a shared service. Round trip of course!
